Laconia --- Germaine Rita Provencal 92, of Blueberry Lane, died Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Laconia Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She died peacefully with her loving nurse, Kerri, by her side.
Germaine "Gerry" was born February 22, 1925 in Laconia, daughter to the late Oscar and Jennie (Croteau) Simoneau. She worked at Crystal Cafe, Dearborn's Diner, Scott & Williams, and the Needle Shop before moving to Phoenix Arizona in 1972. At the time she worked at Lady Marden's Dress Shop until retirement. She eventually moved back to NH in 2001 to be with remaining family. Gerry loved playing Bingo, cards, and going to casinos. Above all, family and friends and church were most important to her.
Gerry is survived by two sons, Raymond G. Provencal and his wife, Randi of Laconia, Robert M. Provencal and his wife, Robin of Rancho Cordova, CA, a daughter, Madonna M. Hofman and her husband, Walter of Laconia, and son-in-law Ronald Laramie of Laconia. Eleven grandchildren, Sandra Bell, Joseph Avellino , Amber Stottlar, Derek and Alex Provencal, Aaron, and Nathan Provencal, Arthur Paquet, Robert Laramie, Debbie Waterman, Craig Laramie. Nineteen great-grandchildren, one sister Simone Chandronnait and her husband Al of Hudson, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Robert “Red” Provencal, son Ronald Provencal, daughter Linda C. Laramie, great grandson Daniel, great granddaughter Mackenzie Paquet, her brother Raymond Simoneau, her sisters Irene Boucher, Jean Booska, Anita Rioux, and sister-in-law, Gerri Simoneau. She will be truly missed, her great smile and loving ways endeared her to everyone who knew her.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services.
Burial will be at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery, Avondale, AZ. To be joined with her husband Robert and son Ronald.
