Belmont-----Peter Murray Tibbetts, 52, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, January 8, 2018, at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Peter was born on December 17, 1965 in Laconia, NH to the late Wanda Tibbetts.
Peter graduated from the New Hampshire Vocational Technical College with a degree in Graphic Arts in 1986. He married his high school sweetheart, Deirdre Tibbetts in 1989. Peter was the Lodge Manager for the Laconia Elks #876.
Peter was a quiet, gentle man who loved his family with everything he had. Peter enjoyed cooking new recipes he learned from the Food Network channel. He was often traveling to new destinations with his wife and many friends. Peter enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia and scratch tickets!
Peter leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Deirdre (Fortier) Tibbetts; his son Kyle Tibbetts and wife Ashley; his daughter, Kayla Tibbetts and the twinkle of his eye, Cali Mae Tibbetts; brother-in-law, Brian Fortier and partner John Murray; sister-in-law, Allyson Shea and husband Tobias Shea; nieces and nephews, Gabriel, Natalie and Everett Shea and many countless friends. In addition to his mother, he is predeceased by his grandparents, Carroll and Ethel Tibbetts.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 4:30pm - 6:30pm, followed by an Elks Service at 6:30pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH using the Carriage House entrance.
A Celebration of Life will follow the services at the Laconia Elks, 17 Sugarbush Lane, Gilford NH 03249.
