Obituary

Warren E. Adams, 94, of Tilton, NH, passed Friday January 5, 2018 at Franklin Regional Hospital in Franklin, NH. He had been a resident of the NH Veterans Home in Tilton, where he also served as Chaplain. Mr. Adams was born September 6, 1923 in Reamstown, PA and was a son of the late Harvey and Emma (Lorenz) Adams.

After returning from WWII Warren went to Westminster Choir College and Barrington Bible college where he met his wife Helen. Then began a 60 year saga of study, teaching, directing, performing and leading concert choirs to very large audiences while learning to raise a family between two countries and many positions such as those he held as organist and choir director at Central Congregational in Derry and Windham Presbyterian in NH.

Surviving members of his family include his daughter, Carol, two grandsons, Mackenzie and Nicholas and two granddaughters Christy and Hayley. There are also two great grandchildren, Tayah and Emma Grace. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Helen (Holm) Adams in 2010 and by a daughter, Beth Bruner in 2011.

After cremation, a memorial service was celebrated on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Windham Presbyterian Church, 1 Church Road, Windham, NH followed by light refreshments. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Teen Challenge New England, 47 Laurel Street Manchester, NH 03103 to benefit troubled youth and families that have fallen into the enemy’s hands through the disease of addiction.
