Obituary

Charlotte M. (Fillmann) Landes, 88, of Anderson went to be with the Lord, January 8, 2018 at Golden Living Center in Muncie after an extended illness.

She was born December 20, 1929 in Kentucky, the daughter of Julius and Ella (Padricke) Fillmann.
She was a cook at College Corner; a Girl Scout leader, director of "Camp Tanglewood" past member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she was involved in the "Midnight Parade" for many years. She was a Charter member of "Remember Men in Vietnam"; office manager for Democrat headquarters for over 20 years. She was awarded a Certificate of Commendation on October 10, 1988 and a volunteer service award on October 18, 1993 by the Mental Health Association in Madison County and the Roosevelt Kennedy Club Award for service in 1993. She was very active with the Moonsville Conservation Club horse show. She was a member of West Cross Street Alliance Church.

She is survived by her four children, Della Swain of Warsaw, Doris (Larry) Allen of Butlerville, Diana McNew of Ogden, Utah and Charles Andrew (Lisa) Landes of Fairmount; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; three siblings, Reginald Fillmann; Delores (Dallas) Corbett and Sandra (Bill) Layton and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles William Landes, Jr. in 2012; her son-in-law, Ken Swain; sister Dorothy Anderson died the same day.

Funeral services will be at 11a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Gary Boschain of First Christian Church in Warsaw officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association.
