Obituary

Arthur “Bill” Damon., 82, of Medway, died Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Holden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was the beloved husband of Loretta A. (McCormack) Damon who died in 1997.

Born in Somerville on January 31, 1935, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Loretta (Blair) Damon.

Mr. Damon was a resident of Medway since 1985 and formerly resided in Hyde Park.

He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Damon worked as a talented auto body repairman for many years and was also a limousine driver for two years just before retirement.

He was a car enthusiast, enjoyed auto racing and drove at all the race tracks, both dirt and asphalt, throughout New England.

He is survived by three children, William Damon of North Brookfield, Michelle Damon of Grafton and Michael Damon of Altamonte Springs, Florida, a brother Donald Damon and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday, January 12 at 10 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com). Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m.
