Mary E. (Carvalho) Bradshaw, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Beaumont at Natick Nursing Home in Natick. She was 92 years of age.
Mary was born in Somerville on April 15, 1925, a daughter of the late Joseph S. Carvalho and Gertrude V. (Daley) Carvalho. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated at St. Francis De Sales Parochial School and graduated from Rosary Academy High School in Watertown. Mary worked for many years as a Receptionist for Operation A.B.L.E. an elder services organization. She was a member of the Golden Age Center in Charlestown for many years.
Mary is the beloved wife of the late John F. Bradshaw. She is the devoted mother of John F. Bradshaw of Natick, Richard Bradshaw of Jaffrey, New Hampshire and the late Gerald Bradshaw, Joseph Bradshaw and Ralph Bradshaw. She is the loving Nana of 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of the late Frances Williams, Gertrude Keating, Ralph Carvalho and Joseph Carvalho. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary's Funeral on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 9:45 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10:30 A.M. Her burial will be private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
