Larry Alex Troupe, 66, of Enigma passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018, at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Troupe at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Enigma, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 10, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born April 4, 1951 in Irwin County, Mr. Troupe was the son of the late Theodore Troupe and Martha Ellen Rowell Troupe. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Olive. He was employed with the City of Tifton and was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved taking care of his farm animals.
Mr. Troupe is survived by his wife, Sara Ann Kilpatrick Troupe of Enigma; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Jamie Davis of Brookfield, Alice and Lee Cribb of Alabama and Tammy and Brian Bennett of Lenox; one brother, John W. Troupe of Tifton; one sister, Patsy Troupe McCurdy of Ashburn; seven grandchildren, Austin Olive, Jeffery Olive, Kaitlin Croft, Belle Cribb, Cortney Bennett, Tyler Wise and Kaden Davis; and one great-grandson, Cason Wise.
