Obituary



WORCESTER- John J. Klunk, 74, died peacefully on Saturday, January 6, 2017, at Rose Monahan Hospice House, Worcester.

John was born and raised in Worcester, a son of the late William C. and Mabel (Dube) Klunk, and has lived here his entire life. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. Prior to his retirement in 2009, John worked as a mechanical engineer for H & R 1871 in Gardner for 16 years. Previously worked for the former Heald Machine, Worcester.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen A. (Murphy) Klunk; his six children, Jeffrey J. Klunk (Anna) of Warren, Brian J. Klunk (Joanne) of Clinton, MS, Kevin M. Klunk of Cambridge, Jennifer K. Hendrick (Shanne) of Worcester, John W. Klunk (Allison) of Sutton and Michael L. Klunk (Kristen) of Danielson, CT; his two sisters, Mae Hannan of Worcester and Beverly Wilder of North Carolina. He was also the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. John was predeceased by his brother, William Klunk.

Relatives and friends are invited to John’s Life Celebration visitation on Tuesday, January 9, from 4-7 p.m. at the CALLAHAN, FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.
