Mary Barber, 73, of Lands Crossing Community in Irwin County, died Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Tift Regional Medical Center, in Tifton, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held 6PM, Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Justin McCrimmon officiating.
Mrs. Barber was born November 2, 1944, in Donaldsonville, Georgia to the late Charlie Glass and Rosa Lee Odum. She has lived in the community since 2011. She enjoyed shopping, cooking and playing with her grandchildren. Mrs. Barber was a member of Christian Fellowship.
She is survived by her sons: Mark & Sharon Barber and Cody & Maranda Barber all of the Lands Crossing Community; grandchildren: Faith Barber, and Kolton Barber, Mysti & Kaleb Grimsley, Krystal & Eric Metcalf and Dewayne Farmer and several great-grandchildren; brother: Charles & Janie Glass of Bainbridge; sisters: Annette Rickards of Swansboro, North Carolina, and Charlene Tyler of Thomasville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Barber, and a brother Ray Glass.
