Obituary

Virginia M. “Ginny” Curran 76 of Natick died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was the beloved wife for 52 years of the late William J. Curran who died January 21, 2016.
A Natick resident for over 50 years she was born in Boston the daughter of the late John and Mildred (Mahoney) Owens.
Mrs. Curran was a former Pre School teacher at the Wellesley Nursery School in the Hills. She also spent her time volunteering, teaching CCD at St Patrick Parish, a Girl Scout & Brownie Troop Leader, and always volunteering for countless other activities. Ginny was known as a gracious host and thoroughly enjoyed entertaining guests at her home in Natick and in the family’s cherished home in York, Maine.
Mrs. Curran had a special lifelong devotion and took great joy in caring, and providing for children, her Bacon Street home was a very inviting gathering place as a “mother & Grammy to all” in the neighborhood.
She is survived by her three daughters, Peggy Curran-Smith of Sherborn, Jennifer Curran Pelletier of Millis, Wendy Curran-Elassy and her partner Edward Bracken of Natick; her much loved grandchildren, Alexandra Smith, Hannah Elassy, Michael Elassy, Curran Pelletier, and Maggie Pelletier; her dear sister Peggy Joyce and her husband Marty of York Harbor ME and Naples FL; neices & nephews Cynthia Joyce of Boston, Bryan Joyce and his wife Heidi of York, and their children Emma & Jack ; her sister in law, Nancy Schmidt and her husband John of Sterling, MA, and their son, Jeffrey; in laws Alan Thompson, Cindy Cimo, Kathy Roderick, Lisa Johnston and ALL OF their children.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral on Wednesday, January 10, at 10:00 A.M from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 A.M. in St Patrick Church. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Interment Glenwood Cemetery.
