Janice Marie Jones was born June 20, 1963 in Montclair, New Jersey to Birdie M. Roane (deceased) and MSgt. Leroy L. Roane (deceased). Although she would hold several jobs after college, Janice settled into a career in Payroll and then transferred to Human Resources at Micro Focus in Cambridge that spanned twenty years of service.
In 1986 Janice was blessed with a lovely and beautiful baby named Melissa Jones. She would later marry her high school sweet-heart Wayne Jones in 1988. Although the marriage did not last, Janice and Wayne still remained friends. Janice was a giver and it has been demonstrated throughout her life. From helping family and friends to providing support to numerous people and organizations. She was a member of Grace Church of All Nations where she sang in the choir and taught at the children’s church. Later on, she became a member of Cathedral of Life – COGIC and was given the name “Mother Janice” by her congregation. Janice was very active in the community and was the treasurer for the Rick Graham Memorial Diabetes Ride
