Obituary

Webster/Hingham – Henry W. Feig, 93, formerly of Cushing Road, died Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the Harbor House in Hingham after a period of declining health.

He leaves his wife of 70 years, Rachel G. (Cournoyer) Feig; 2 sons, William R. Feig and his wife Susan of Hingham and Michael Feig and his wife Kathy of Tarzana, CA; 4 grandchildren, Lindsay Feig, Garrett Feig, Tara Block and Ryan Block; 5 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his sister, Tina Lapierre.

He was born in Webster, the son of Henry and Pauline (Miller) Feig and lived in Webster all of his life. He was a 1942 graduate of Bartlett High School.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving as an aviation electrician.

Mr. Feig worked as an electrician for the New England Power Company and was later promoted to supervisor for Mass Electric (now National Grid). After retirement, he was employed as a funeral assistant for the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home.

He was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Nichols Golf Course in Dudley. He and Rachel liked to travel, they spent many months in California visiting with family and helping to run the organic farm their son ran. He enjoyed reading.

At Mr. Feig’s request all services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations in his memory may be made to Harbor House, 11 Condito Road, Hingham, MA 02043. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster.
