Mr. Alfred R. Silvia, of Taunton, entered into rest unexpectedly Wednesday, December 27 at his residence. He was the loving companion of Patricia DeVost. He was born 58 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Theodore and Madeline (Correia) Silvia. He was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to his illness, Alfred was a self-employed auto body technician. He was previously employed at Harry’s Auto Body in Taunton for several years, and was formerly employed by After Hours Auto Body in Taunton. He was a member of the Italian Naturalization Club. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting.
In addition to his companion, Patricia, her daughter, Jocelyne DeVost, and her granddaughter, Cheyanne Rodriguez, he leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Wednesday, January 3 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the funeral, Wednesday, from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon.
