Stephen “Slim” McNicholas, 64, of Medway, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Virginia “Ginny" Dale for the past17 years.
Born in Arlington on October 13, 1953, he was the son of Lillian (Kerwin) Villani and her husband Jerome of Naples, Florida and the late George McNicholas.
He is also survived by three step-children Robert O’Donnell and his wife Judy of Germany, Brian O’Donnell and his companion Elaine of Millis and Leeann Pickering of Bellingham, six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and three sisters Joan Roman of Needham, Marilyn Bishop of Natick and Clare McNicholas of Norwood.
Mr. McNicholas was a resident of Medway for 30 years and had formerly resided in Needham. He graduated from Needham High School and attended Northeastern University.
Before his retirement, Mr. McNicholas worked for the Department of Public Works for the Town of Needham for many years.
He loved to play cribbage and was a lifelong Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and NASCAR fan.
Private graveside services will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Medway Senior Center, 76 Oakland St., Medway, MA 02053.
