Deborah K. (Cook) Southerland, 56, passed away on December 23, 2017, following an extended illness.
Debbie was born on September 27, 1961, in Anderson to Patty and the late Dale R. Cook.
Debbie was a loving wife to the late Gary Southerland who passed away July 21, 2017.
Debbie was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Debbie enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino. She enjoyed cooking and going camping with her family. She held many jobs throughout her life.
She is survived by her mother, Patty Cook, children, Karen Ebbert, Eric (Jara) Southerland, Shaun (Danielle) Southerland, Jamie (Josh) Shepherd and Josh Ebbert, Sr.; stepchildren, Chad (Christina) Oshier, Lee (Jamie) Oshier; grandchildren, Austin (Karissa) Russell, Joshua Ebbert, Jr., Allison Southerland, Autumn, Jourdan and Corbin Southerland, Bentley and Lillian Shepherd, Ben Llamas, Jeffrey, Kya, Arya, Will and Anna Oshier; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Cartter Russell; siblings Dale "Red" Cook, Julie (Todd) Norris, Sandy (Kirk) Bennett; brother and sisters-in-law: Linda (Harold) Jackson, Bill Raison, Sam (Cindy) Southerland, Larry Southerland, Vicki Davidson, Carol Blakely and John (Becky) Southerland; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Cook, Sr. and her husband Gary Southerland.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 29, 2017 at 5 p.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Brad Buhro of Southdale Church of the Nazarene officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to family to help with funeral expenses.
