Ara Daniel “Danny” Gowen, (64), of Louisville, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 23, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlson and Edith Gowen.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Sherry (Banks) Gowen; daughter, Marissa Arnold (Jason); sister, Charlotte Van Meter; nieces/nephews, Miranda Hale, Ryan and Alaina Edlin, Lindsey Husband (Justin), Brennan Banks, Kristi and Destiny Marksberry, Alyssa Banks; special friends/caregivers Mark Banks (Phyllis) and Jimmy Banks (Robin); grandson, Nathaniel Whitten; and his faithful, furry companion “Pooka.” Danny leaves many other family members and dear friends to cherish his memory.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 1- 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Hosparus in his memory.
