Barbara Therese (Curcio) Minichiello, 73 of Andover, MA passed away peacefully on December 18, 2017 at home with her family.
Barbara was born in Medford, MA to Joseph and Marguerite Curcio on February 5, 1944. She attended Mount St. Joseph's High School in Boston. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Emanuel College in Boston, MA and a Masters in Education from Assumption College in Worcester, MA. She taught art at Tewksbury Junior High and High School and taught at the college level. Barbara received numerous awards for her multi-media artwork. In her later years she volunteered for Bancroft Elementary School in Andover.
Barbara enjoyed traveling with family, especially summers in York, ME. Her greatest joy was spending time with her three grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Albert. Her children and their spouses Albie and Lori Minichiello, North Attleboro, MA; Andrea and John Arsenault, Tyngsboro, MA; three grandchildren Joey, Sofie, and Adrianna along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, MA, on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 4pm to 8 pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustines Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Friday, December 22, 2017, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover.
