Bertha C. (Goncalo) Shea, 89, of Dartmouth died December 13, 2017 at Fall River Healthcare Center after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Robert R.C. Shea.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Walter and Emma Goncalo, she lived in Dartmouth most of her life.
Mrs. Shea was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
She was formerly employed by Luzo Bank for several years until her retirement.
Survivors include 6 sons, Robert R.C. Shea and Paul F. Shea, both of California, Peter Z. Shea, Christopher J. Shea and Jeremy E. Shea, all of Dartmouth and Justin P. Shea of Lakeville; 4 daughters, Kathleen D. Messina, Deborah A. Shea and Elizabeth K. Souza, all of Dartmouth and Jennifer K. Shapiro of Little Compton; 24 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, December 16th at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church at 10 AM.
