Janice Pedrick, 61, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, December 11, 2017, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, December 14, 2017, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Earl Perry officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Pedrick was born January 27, 1956, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Charles Keith & Geneva Walker Pedrick. She lived in the community all of her life. She attended Fitzgerald High School and later received her Nursing degree from Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College. Ms. Pedrick worked for Tift Regional Medical Center, Dorminy Medical Center, Medical Center in Macon and local nursing homes. She enjoyed playing softball, fishing, gardening, growing plants and spending time with her family. Ms. Pedrick was a member of the former Northside Baptist Church in Fitzgerald.
She is survived by her children: Charlotte Thompson & Jason Norris of Lee County and Jennifer Pedrick & Edd Jones of Fitzgerald; a step-son, Louis Mays & Misty of Valdosta; grandchildren: Shaw Creel, Weston Creel, Cole Creel, Renae Dennard & Michael and Macy Shattles; great-grandchild, Harlee Dennard; a sister, Patricia Powell & Tony of Fitzgerald; three nieces and one nephew; one great-niece and three great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Keith Pedrick, III and a sister, Peggy Sumner.
