GRAHAM, Robert L. (Bob) Of Dedham passed away peacefully at home in the presence of family on Saturday, December 9, 2017.
He was born in West Roxbury to parents the late Louis and Dorothy (McNary).
Bob was employed for over 40 years by New England Bell Telephone Co. and also served in the U.S. Army Reserve.
He enjoyed many retirement years often completing woodworking projects and renovation of the family home. His sharp wit and wonderful sense of humor will be fondly remembered by family and friends. His interests included history, travel, movies, and he was an avid book reader.
Devoted husband to his beloved wife and best friend Virginia M. (Quercia). They enjoyed 58 years of marriage and countless memories with family members.
Survived by his many children, Robert Graham Jr. and wife Mary Ann of Uxbridge, Virginia Graham of Marlborough, Karen Murphy and husband John of Mansfield, James Graham and wife Yulia of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Christopher Graham and wife Judith of West Roxbury, Christine Palladino and husband David of Mansfield, Susan Pouliot and husband Richard of League City, TX, Pamela Roberge and husband Philip of North Attleboro, Deborah Graham of Dedham, and Beth Lindberg and husband Charles of Norwood. Also survived by siblings Allan Graham and wife Patricia of West Roxbury, and Dorothy DeWitte and husband Gordon of Austin, TX. He was “Papa” to 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visiting hours on Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 4-7PM at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM. A Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Thursday, Dec. 14 in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 10AM. Private interment will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
