Obituary

Brian R. Curley, 64, of Derry, NH passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at his home. He was born in Lynn, MA on October 22, 1953, a son of the late Raoul R. and Mary F. (Flynn) Curley. Brian worked as a chef for many years at the Warren Tavern in Charlestown, MA, and recently retired from the Common Man Restaurant in Windham, NH. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking and reading.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Ann Marie (Burke) Curley of Derry, his three children, Erin Jace and her husband Jason of Derry, NH, Heather Curley of Danvers, MA, and Patrick Curley and his wife Amanda of Ashland, MA, four grandchildren, Caitlyn and Ryan Jace, and Gavin and Amelia Curley; two sisters, Maureen Dow and husband Paul of Boxford, MA and Eileen Downs of Augusta, ME, one brother, Joseph Curley and wife Ann of Danvers, MA, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Brian was also predeceased by one sister Margaret Nyman.

Calling hours were held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 9 – 11:30am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 12:00 pm in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry with cremation that followed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sonshine Soup Kitchen, 6 Crystal Avenue, Derry, NH 03038 or to the NH Food Bank, 700 East Industrial Park Drive, Manchester, NH 03109.
