New Bedford – Ana Natalia Silveira, age 89, died on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Sacred Heart Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Jose R. Silveira and the daughter of the late Rosa (Serpa) and Tomas Correia.
Ana was born in Fayal, Azores and moved to this area in 1967 where she had worked for Cornell Dubilier.
She is survived by her daughters, Filomena Silva of New Bedford, Bernadette Braga and her husband, Jose of South Dartmouth and Lydia Butler of Tennessee; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Joshua, Jonathan and Jozef; 4 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by several siblings.
Ana’s visiting hours will take place on Monday morning at the funeral home between 8:00A.M.-10:00 A.M. then will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St John’s Cemetery.
