Richard A. Bettger, age 67, of Hudson, MA, a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, died unexpectedly after a short bout with cancer on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
A kind man with a generous heart, his hobbies included gardening, golfing, fishing, antiques and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.
Richard had spent the last 12 years at Toxikon Corporation where his unique sense of humor and his no nonsense approach made him a well-respected and valued member of the organization.
He is survived by his son, Eric Bettger of Hudson, MA; daughter, Lisa-Anne Bettger of Milford, MA and his two granddaughters, Hannah and Isabel Leip of Framingham; as well as his brother, Jack of Venice, FL. He is predeceased by his father, Albert; mother, Novella and son, Jason Bettger.
A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at the Depot St Tavern, 45 Depot Street, Milford, MA, from 3:00-6:30 PM.
