Obituary

Mr. Thomas K. Desmarais, 79, of Dracut, died at Lowell General Hospital on November 28th. Born in Lowell on April 2, 1938, he was the son of the late Joseph and the late Grace V. (Coakley) Desmarais. He was educated at St. Peter Grammar school in Lowelland the Lowell Regional Vocational Technical School. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955 to 1959 in Okinawa, Japan. Mr. Desmarais was the past owner of Dracut Office Equipment from 1970 to 2000, He also bartended at the Dracut Civic Club, Georges Café, an the Lafayette Club. Mr. Desmarais is pre-deceased by two brothers; Arthur Desmarais of Londonderry, NH and James F. Desmarais of Lowell. He was survived by his loving wife Patricia (Beaulieu)(Finnegan) Desmarais of Dracut, he is also survived by two sons; Matthew T. Desmarais and his wife Heather (Rennie) of Pepperell, Evan Desmarais and his wife Julie (Landry) of Tewksbury, one daughter; Cathleen M. and her husband James Gavin of Maine, one sister; Jeanne (Desmarais) and her husband Jack Malandrino of Dracut, one brother Robert Desmarais and his wife Irene of Nashua, NH. There are four grandchildren; Jack, Delaney, and William Desmarais and Jenna Gavin, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to the Department of Veteran Affairs for their support.
