Obituary

Angela L. “Angie” (Salamone) Cole, of Medford, formerly of Boston’s West End, passed away peacefully, at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 29th. She was 102.

Born in Boston’s West End, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Anna Marie (DiCiano) Salamone and attended local schools. In 1959, she and her husband moved their family from the West End to Cambridge. In 1972, they moved to Medford, where she lived for the last 45 years. Angie loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In her spare time, she loved playing bingo and various card games, playing the lottery, cooking and when she was younger, hosting holiday dinners.

She was the beloved wife of the late William A. Cole Jr., who passed away in 1973. She was the devoted mother of Phyllis Bicchieri and her husband Peter of Medford, Natale Manfredi and his wife Roberta of Burlington, Vincent Manfredi and his wife Linda of Winthrop, Vanessa (Cole) Foley and her partner Thomas Condon of Medford. Angie was the loving grandmother of Cheryl Sciarappa, Angela Hewett, Kristen and Vincent M. Manfredi, Melissa Coyle, Ryan and Larissa Foley and the late Robert Manfredi. She was the loving great grandmother of 12, and was preceded in death by her ten siblings. Angie is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, on Saturday, December 2nd at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
