Mrs. Donna M. (Reed) Bosak, a lifelong resident of Medford and beloved wife of Stephen J. Bosak of 36 years, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston on Monday, November 27, 2017. She was 61 years old.
Born in Stoneham on September 5, 1956, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Muriel (Springer) Reed. Mrs. Bosak was a graduate of Medford High School and the Lawrence Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at a number of hospitals and home health agencies over the years. She loved being a nurse and taking care of those around her.
Donna enjoyed watching cooking shows and eating special deserts. She also enjoyed spending time at her summer home in Monmouth, Maine, at Wilson Pond. A mother to all, Donna loved helping people and many will remember a time when she was there to change a bandage or consult on a problem, always with a smile on her face. She will be dearly missed.
Besides her husband, Stephen, she will be cherished by her loving children; Lindsey M. and her husband Keith Reynolds of Melrose, Christopher J. Bosak of Medford and Jennifer A. Bosak of Biddeford, Maine, sister; Susan and her husband Al Battistelli of Tuftonboro, New Hampshire, granddaughter; Ella Reynolds and her little sister arriving in May, of Melrose, niece and nephews; Lauren, Robert and Jake Reed, many cousins including Charles Springer of Melrose and sister-in-law; Karen Reed of Stoneham. She was also the sister of the late Robert Reed.
Her funeral will be held from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Friday, December 1, 2017, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 5 to 8 PM. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
