Celia A. “Cis” (Loconzolo) Magliozzi, a life-long resident of Malden, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, November 19th surrounded by her loving family at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 81.
Born and raised in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Casello) Loconzolo. Cis married the love of her life, Raymond in 1956 and together they built their family with love and devotion.
Cis was a hairdresser alongside her husband at Raymond’s Beauty Salon. Cis and Raymond were the proprietors of Cissy’s Smoke Shop in Malden. Cis was truly devoted to her husband and son as family was the most important part of her life.
When Cis wasn’t working or caring for her family, she spent her time with the Zonta Club of Medford, which empowers women through service and advocacy. Cis was a passionate and driven individual and worked hard throughout her life. Her kind and loving spirit will be greatly missed.
Cis was the beloved wife of the late Raymond S. Magliozzi, with whom she shared 61 loving years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Raymond J. Magliozzi and his wife Janet L. Magliozzi, a devoted and adoring daughter-in-law, of Malden. Cis was the dear sister of Joseph Loconzolo and his family of Wakefield, William Loconzolo and his family of Wakefield, and the late George Loconzolo. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, on Saturday, November 25th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
