Carol L. (Blomquist) Paiva, of Abington, formerly of Whitman, passed quietly on November 18th, at South Shore Hospital, with her children by her side. She was 73.She was the beloved daughter of the late Donald and Beatrice (Smith) Blomquist, and wife to former late husband Leon Paiva.
Carol is survived by her 4 children; William Harrigan and wife Lisa of Hull, Arthur “Artie” Harrigan of Abington, Shawn Harrigan and wife Brenda of Hanson, and Justine Delorey of Rockland. She also is survived by 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was also grandmother to the late Jonathan Johnson.
Carol was a dedicated special-needs bus driver for the Whitman-Hanson school district for over 20 years..
Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service to be held Wednesday November 29 at 7:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 5:00-7:00 PM.
