Roy Aaron Gray, 76, of Mystic died Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandy (Young) Gray. He was born on May 9, 1941, in Norwich, Vermont, the son of Aaron and Ruth (Grant) Gray.
He worked as a Rigger at Electric Boat, retiring in 1995. He was an avid Nascar fan, “Earnhardt Sr.” and loved to fish. He enjoyed winning trophies with his classic cars. The loves of his life were his dogs Trixie and Roxie and his cat Freddie.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Glenn M. Gray and his wife Amy, Kevin P. Gray, three stepchildren, multiple grandchildren and one great grandson. He is also survived by his brother Theodore Gray Sr. and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Kathy Gray.
Roy’s family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, November 27, from 5 to 7pm at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private for the family.
