Donald James "Don" Lewis, 55, of Alexandria, died November 16, 2017 at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born August 31, 1962 in Anderson the son of Harry E. and Lois Maxine (Stottlemyer) Lewis.
He served in the United States Army.
Don worked construction at Becks. He was a member of Vermillion Christian Church. He enjoyed spending time with kids, riding his Harley, boating and spending time on the farm.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tammy (Moyer) Lewis of Alexandria, son, Donald Eugene (Kimberly) Lewis; daughter, Ashlee Ricole (Tim) Snead; mother, Lois Maxine Lewis; brother, Jerry (Colleen) Lewis; seven grandchildren, Jerica, Donald, Owen, Mylie, Chloe, Zoey and Abel; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Mike and Cathy Leisure, Mark Mills, Robert Taylor and Dave Arner.
Don was preceded in death by his father, brother, Charles Lewis; grandson, Eli Lewis, in-laws, Paul Moyer and Virginia Moyer.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Paul Werling and Keith Kramer of Vermillion Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery, with military graveside rites.
Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
