Obituary

Theresa A. (Dziemian) Eager, 95, of Worcester died Friday, November 17th in the Lutheran Home surrounded by her family. Her husband of 38 years, James Eager died in 1986. She leaves three sons, James Eager and his wife, Ann Marie Budness of Holden, Brian Eager and his wife, Pamela of West Brookfield and Paul Eager of Worcester; three sisters, Josephine Stone, Rita Tirella and Virginia Lewandowski and her husband John all of Worcester; son in law, Charles Hurd of CT; sister in law, Sheila Dzieman of FL; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Hurd and three brothers, Arthur, Frank and Edward Dziemian.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Frank and Josephine (Maciejewski) Dziemian. She worked for RJ Toomey for many years as a seamstress. She previously worked in the kitchen for the former Freedom Federal Savings Bank. Theresa was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. In her younger years, she enjoyed bus trips and travelling with her husband. Theresa enjoyed attending the UMass Retiree Association luncheons with her sisters. Family was the most important thing in Theresa’s life and knew how important it was to be good to each other.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Lutheran Home for their compassion and support during Theresa’s stay with them.
Her funeral is Tuesday, November 21st with a service at 11:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Theresa’s name to the Lutheran Home Activities Fund, 26 Harvard Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
