New Bedford – Janice (Vital) Costa, age 74 of Dartmouth, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Gilbert Costa Jr. and the daughter of the late Mary (Mano) and Carlos Vital.
Janice was born in Acushnet, MA. She worked at Natco Food Distributers as a secretary and also worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Janice was an avid Red Sox fan.
She is survived her son, Robert G. Costa; as well as 3 nieces and 1 nephew.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday afternoon from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Monday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 7:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church South Dartmouth at 9:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
