Cynthia A. (Cindy) Crowninshield, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2017 at the age of 54. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut she was the daughter of the late John A. Crowninshield and Frances A. (Rountree) Crowninshield. Cindy was beautiful inside and out, she was a smart, willful, caring, funny woman who always stayed true to herself and to her family which was her best attribute. Throughout her life she worked caring for others as a home health aide and made everlasting connections with the people that she would care for.
Cindy was the beloved mother to Tara Jean Westgate and her fiance Daniel Mayer, Kimberly Ann and husband Raymond Gabrielle, and the famous Rock Star Alexis Rose Westgate. She adored her grandchildren Kayleigh Marie Colameco and William Raymond Gabrielle. The love she had for her children and grandchildren was undeniable. Cindy was also the fiance of Malcolm “Mal” Burnham. Mal and Cindy met later in life, but the short time they did have together was cherished and will last for eternity.
A fun-loving sister to John , Margaret , Deborah , David and his wife Debora, James and his wife Linda . She had two others she called sisters, her cousins Kathy and Karen Winters. Cindy had many nieces and nephews that she loved like her own Jon and Jessica ; Jenn, Kate and Rick ; Brian and Sarah ; David and Meghan.
Although she was here on Earth for a short period of time, she touched the hearts of many people. Before her passing she wrote “Soon I’ll always be in peace and want to thank everyone-whoever touched my life and taught me something- Friends & Family forever!” A service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Monday, November 20th at 11 am. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1-4 pm. Interment St Francis Cemetery in Taunton. In lieu of flowers donations in Cynthia's memory may be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Research Fund, Brigham and Woman's Hospital, 116 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA, 02116.
