Stanley Z. Kantorosinski, 72, of Swampscott died, Monday, November 13, 2017 at the NSMC / Salem Hospital, following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Maryla M. (Szymanski) Kantorosinski with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Poland where he was a neighbor of his future wife, he was the son of the late Stanley and Cecilia (Kowalska) Kantorosinski. He and his family moved back to Salem from Poland in 1965. Stan married his childhood sweetheart Maryla in 1970 and together the couple settled in Salem. While earning his degree he was employed by Sylvania where he worked in electronics and computers. A man of many talents, Stan worked in many different fields before he and his wife opened the first ‘Bagel World’ in 1993 in Peabody on Sylvan St., to be followed by the Canal St., Salem, Reading and Route 1 in Peabody locations.
Stan was a hard working, clever man who loved life. He was devoted to his wife, and their sons and their families. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish in Salem.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Edward Kantorosinski and his wife Magdalena, Peter Kantorosinski and his wife Monika , three grandchildren, Natalia, Christopher & Victoria Kantorosinski all of Middleton, two brothers, Henry & Michael Kantorosinski both of Salem as well as nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM to be followed by his Funeral Mass in the Shrine of Divine Mercy, formerly St. John the Baptist Church, 28 St. Peter St., Salem at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
