Robert E. Borden, age 81 of Canton passed away November 14th at the Norwood Hospital after a brief illness. Born and raised in Cambridge, he attended Cambridge Schools and was a Veteran of the Army National Guard. He worked as a Custodian for the Ten Acre School in Wellesley for many years before retiring. He has lived in Canton since 1973 and previously lived in Dorchester. He was a devoted family man and was an avid fisherman, Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching John Wayne Western and Army movies. Beloved husband of Dorothy T. (Nash). Father of Robert E. Borden, Jr. of Revere, Kathleen A. Borden of Canton, Paula J. Rotella of Stoughton and the late Paul G. Borden. Brother of James Borden of CA. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 on the way. Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Saturday morning at 10. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm.
