Obituary

Brian Gillespie of Dorchester passed away unexpectedly in his home in Hingham on November 8th, 2017. Brian graduated from Don Bosco Technical High School and went on to proudly serve his country overseas in Japan while in the Navy. During this time he was able to travel all around the world, but his heart never strayed far from home. He was an avid reader and writer with a heart as big as his smile and a creativity as wild as his laugh. He spent most Sundays during football season like many other New Englander's, cheering on his favorite team, the New England Patriots. His daughter Makenzie was his pride and joy and they shared an unbreakable bond. Brian is survived by his beautiful daughter Makenzie, of Whitman. Beloved son to Linda Gould, late father James Gillespie and step father John Gould Jr. Loving and protective older brother to Marisa Gillespie and brother in law Andrew Cronin, late brother Johnny Gould III, Alex Gould and his wife Amanda, Dina Gould and her fiance Jeremy Laviolette. Also survived by nephew's Luke Cronin, James Joyce and Bentley Laviolette, niece's Keira Cronin, Shae Gould, Ella Gould and Lianna Gould, and numerous Aunt's, Uncle's, cousin's and friend's. His family finds comfort in the knowledge that Brian is with his best friend and father, James Gillespie, and his brother Johnny Gould III in Paradise.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday November 19, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm in The Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave. Dorchester, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment with military honors will be held on Monday November 21, in The Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA at 1:30 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
