Mary E. Handley, of W. Hartford, Ct, formerly of Boylston passed away November 10th after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Boston, she was raised in Roslindale and graduated from St. Clare’s High School in Roslindale, Northeastern University and received her Master’s from George Washington University. She had lived in Boylston for 35 years and most recently has lived in W. Hartford and Farmington, CT. She was a former 30 year employee for U-Mass Medical School in Worcester. Beloved sister of Brian F. Handley and his wife Donna of W. Hartford, CT and James M. Handley of Marshfield. Aunt of Alanna and Matthew Handley of W. Hartford. Also survived by a large extended family and numerous friends. Relatives and friends invited to attend visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Saturday morning November 18th from 9 to 12 am. Burial will follow at Milton Cemetery. Mary and her family give special thanks to Dr. Patricia DeFusco and Dr. Andrew Salner of Hartford Health Care for their exceptional and loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Hartford Health Care Cancer Institute at Hartford Hospital Patient Assistance Fund or to Hartford Health Care at Home/Hospice.
