Marjorie B. True, age 99, of Natick, died at her home, on Friday, November 10, 2017.
Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Stanley & Jennie (Thompson) Clapp. Marjorie attended and graduated from Framingham High School and graduated from Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, MA. She was a devoted member of Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church in Wellesley and served as a Justice of the Peace, marrying nearly 400 couples. For many years, Marjorie worked at the Natick District Court, ending her career as Clerk Magistrate. She was a President of the Natick Mother's Club, an Officer of LAK-HAR-TRAS (a neighborhood civic organization) and a member of the 15 Gardeners' Club. Marjorie was a longtime Daughter of the American Revolution. For many years, she volunteered at the Leonard Morse Hospital. Her hobbies included playing bridge, knitting and sewing, word games, and gardening. She loved her summers as a child in Thomaston, ME, and later vacationing and boating on Cape Cod. Above all, Marjorie was devoted to her immediate and extended family.
Marjorie was the beloved wife of the late Charles True; mother of Dr. Richard True of Sunnyvale, CA, Roger True of Fairfield, CT and Rev. Cynthia E. Bagley of Keene, NH; grandmother of Christopher True, Jonathan True, Matthew Bagley, Timothy Bagley, Katherine Maher and great-grandmother of Quinn Bagley, Ronan Maher, Tucker Bagley, Sienna Bagley and Charlotte Maher.
A visitation period will be held at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at NATICK COMMON, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, from 11:00 AM-12:00 NOON, with a funeral service starting at 12:00 NOON.
Interment services will follow at the Dell Park Cemetery, Pond Street, Natick.
