Obituary

Laconia-----Donald Chan Langley, 95, former longtime resident of Gilmanton died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Laconia Rehabilitation Center.

Donald was born July 4, 1922 in Hopkinton, New Hampshire son to the late Howard G. and Laura (Nelson) Langley. He graduated from the Gilmanton Schools alongside his brothers where his father served as a town selectman. Donald later attended the University of New Hampshire for two years until he left to serve his country in the United States Army Air Corps. Following his retirement from the air force he later worked for Nutter Construction as a heavy equipment operator. Donald also lived in Inverness, Florida for 10 years where he was a member of their local country club.

Donald enjoyed golf, Friday night super club, dancing, live music - local night life. He also liked going out to eat with family and friends, especially to his favorite restaurant, Top of The Town. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends was most important to him.

Donald is survived by his four sons, Howard Langley of Laconia, Donald Langley of Andover, Paul Langley of Laconia and Leonard Quinn and his wife, Dana of Goshen, AR; a daughter, Kathleen A. Moorehead and her husband, Shane of Gilmanton; ten grandchildren, Andrea, Joanne, Matt, Mike, Renee, Alex, Adam, Nick, Scott and Leo; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his angel caretaker, Gualdalupe Deleon. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Milne)Langley and his two brothers, Henry and Bernard Langley.

There will be no calling hours.

A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 12:30pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.

Burial with military honors will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH at 2:30pm Wednesday, November, 15, 2017 following the service.
