Obituary

ORANGE, CA: John W. Aucoin, 64, died comfortably on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the University of California Irvine Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born in Natick on September 6, 1953 the son of the late Joseph T. Aucoin, Sr and Audrey L. (Campbell) Aucoin.
John is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 18 years, Ginny (Pendleton) Aucoin of Orange, CA. He was the loving father of Audra Aucoin and her husband Roderick Rooks of Brooklyn, NY, formerly of Orange, CA and Kimberly Knearem and her husband Jack Knearem and their daughter Lauren Knearem all of Azle, TX. John is also survived by his brother Joseph T. Aucoin, Jr and his wife Donna (Slamin) Aucoin of Topsham, ME, his sister Theresa A. “Terri” (Aucoin) McGlynn of Bellingham and his mother-in-law Marion (Marshall) Pendleton of Fountain Valley, CA. John also leaves several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law and many friends from Massachusetts to California.
John spent his formative years in Natick and graduated from Natick High School with the Class of 1972. John then entered the United States Navy and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War aboard the U.S.S. Kennedy throughout the Mediterranean.
He retired as a Building Superintendent for Trimark Homes in the Orange County area after several years of dedicated service. In his retirement, John spent countless hours volunteering with Veterans Honoring Veterans and was always willing to help others at their time of need. He had a big heart and always took care of his family and others putting everyone before himself. John had a great sense of humor and a quick wit and loved people from all walks of life.
His wife Ginny and his daughters Kim and Audra were the center of his life and whom he adored. John loved boating, the ocean, being on the water, working on his cars, vacations with his family and time spent with Ginny. He will be remembered and loved by all those who had the opportunity to know John in his 64 years.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Holy Family Cathedral, 566 S. Glassell St, Orange, CA.
He will be buried on Thursday, November 9, 2017 with full military honors at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Burren Blvd., Riverside, CA.
In lieu of flowers his family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in John’s memory be sent to Veterans Honoring Veterans of America, 387 Magnolia Ave. PO Box 103-421 Corona, CA 92879.
