Maria M. (Maldonado) Adorno, 69, of New Bedford died Saturday November 4, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Manati, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Isabelino and Isabel (Trinidad) Maldonado, she lived in New Bedford for the past 49 years.
Maria enjoyed reading the Bible and watching religious services on television.
She is survived by two children, Victor Adorno and his companion Aida Aponte, and Iris Bajandas and her husband Wilson; her siblings, Angelita Maldonado, Mildred Maldonado, Carmen Maldonado, and Efrain Maldonado; five grandchildren, Shayna Rosario, Alexis Bajandas, Liani Bajandas, Taina Bajandas, amd Thalia Adorno; a great-granddaughter, Jazleen Joseph; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Manuel Adorno, her former husband Erasmo Adorno, and her siblings, Benjamin, Jacob, Vicente, Blanca, Ismael, and Natividad Maldonado.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday November 9, 2017 at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
