Obituary


Michele F. (Walsh) Morris loving wife and mother, 76, of Abington, died on November 2 at Spaulding Hospital with her family by her side.

Born in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1941 to James and Mary (Jordan) Walsh. Graduate of Quincy High School. Former supervisor at the New England Telephone Company and then became a home health aide.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and her four loving grandchildren. She was the one person that anyone could depend on for support during hard times. She was dependable, reliable, and always had an infectious laugh with a warm smile to go with it. Prior to taking care of her four grandchildren Michele’s greatest passion was hanging out with her favorite four-legged friend Henry the Bassett Hound.

She was the wife of Maurice Morris since 1966 of Abington. Michele is survived by her three children: Joseph of Abington, Christine and her husband Timothy of Abington, and James and his wife Kristina of Whitman. She is the loving grandmother to Garrett, T.J, Brooke, and Madalyn. Michele is survived by her sister Maureen Hays of Quincy and predeceased by her brother James Walsh who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1968.

A memorial service will be held on November 11, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Bridget’s Church, located at 455 Plymouth Street in Abington, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to www.woundedwarriorproject.org to honor her fallen brother and all who serve our country.
