FALL RIVER – Maria Loudres Leite, age 91, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 30, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Jose Leite. Born in Capelas, Sao Miguel, Acores, she was the daughter of the late Jose do Rego & Guilhermina da Estrela.
Maria is survived by her children Guilhermina Barbosa of Somerset and Sara Costa of Fall River, Maria Sousa of Somerset, Cidalia Hannafin of Malden, MA. Manuel Leite of Acores, Antone Leite of Fall River and Adelina Leite of Fall River; brother David do Rego of Pawtucket, RI; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her children Maria Goretti Leite and Jose Leite, as well as 3 siblings.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Espirito Santo Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Thursday from 5-7 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
