Mrs. Bertha R. (Lajeunesse) Malone, 101, of Methuen passed away peacefully with her loving daughter by her side on October 29th at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The daughter of the late William and Albina (Sequin) Lajeunesse she was born in Lawrence and had been an area resident all her life. Mrs. Malone was retired after 27 years from Lawrence Maid Footwear where she worked as a stitcher. She enjoyed line dancing and ballroom dancing at the senior centers in Lawrence, Methuen, and Salem till she was 94 years old. Mrs. Malone is the widow of James P. Malone and was also pre-deceased by her brother Will LaJeunesse. She is survived by: one daughter; Janice and her husband Joseph Bergeron of Alston, NH. Four grandchildren; Trish and her husband Michael Gilligan of Malden, John Bergeron and his wife Jodi of Salem, NH, Paul Bergeron and his wife Mirlam of Methuen, and Linda and her wife Susan Marini of Woodstock, GA. Seven Great-grandchildren; Justine Kaelin, Joshua Kaelin, Matt Bergeron, Tyler Bergeron, Kali Bergeron, Melissa Bergeron, and Megan Bergeron. There are several nieces and nephews. The family of Mrs. Malone would like to thank the staff at Nevins for all their compassion during this difficult time.
