WORCESTER: June D. Knight, 78, died peacefully, with her family by her side, on Monday, October 23, 2017, at The Hermitage, 383 Mill St., after a long illness.
She leaves her sons, Ronald V. Dolat Sr. and his wife Chris of Worcester, Matthew A. Troy of Worcester; her daughters, Tammy J. Shepard and her husband Mark of Boylston, Deborah A. Berube of Worcester; her sister, Gloria Luthman of Worcester; her grandchildren, Adam “Thor” Berube, Ronald V. Dolat Jr., Victoria and Tara Berube, Samantha J. Start and her husband Victor, Zachary D. Dolat, Mackenzie Shepard; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Another sister, Patricia St. Armand, and a grandson, Joseph P. Berube Jr., both predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Raymond F. and Irene (Barrette) Knight and lived here all of her life.
June worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in several area nursing homes for many years. She was always known for her kindness and compassion for the many patients she cared for. She enjoyed playing Bingo, shopping, traveling, visiting the local casinos, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her sea blue eyes, her smile and her “manoosh”.
