Obituary

Nora M (Gagnon) Ordway 91, of Natick, died surrounded by loving family, at her home, Saturday October 21, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald V. Ordway Sr. who died in 2014 after having shared 71 years of marriage.

A Natick resident for 84 years she was born in Westford the daughter of the late Dennis and Marie Louise (Brule) Gagnon. Mrs. Ordway along with her husband Ron were dedicated volunteers in many community organizations including Meals on Wheels, American Red Cross and the Open Door Program. In 2008 Ron and Nora were named Town of Natick Grand Marshalls of the Natick Fourth of July Parade. Nora was devoted to her family and faith, and was a member of St Patrick Parish for over 80 years.

She is survived by 8 children, Helen Olson and her husband Mark of S. San Francisco CA, Nora A. Ordway of Kennebunk ME, Ronald V. Ordway, Jr. and his partner Susan Trust of Hudson, James Ordway and his wife Deborah of Natick, Lester Ordway and his wife Susanne of Standish, ME, Richard Ordway Sr. and his wife Cheryl of Walpole, David Ordway and his wife Christine of Natick, Kevin Ordway and his wife Barbara of Natick. Twenty grandchildren: Deborah Price, Rebecca Preston, Stacey Gagnon, Patrick Ordway, Dennis Ordway, Lisa Ordway, Alexandra Ordway, Richard Ordway Jr., Matthew Ordway, Samantha Ordway, Kathleen Clougherty, Ron V Ordway III, Jennifer Ordway, Jessica Young, Jamie Ordway, Lauren Ordway, Thomas Ordway, Kevin Ordway, Veronica Ordway, and Jack Ordway, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, sister in law Jeanne C. Ordway of Natick, and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Alan J Ordway, sister of the late Frank and Lester Gagnon, Ida Lavigne and Louise Ross. She was the mother–in- law of the late Tom Theurer and Donna Ordway, sister in law and dear longtime best friend the late Loretta Ordway

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday October 26 at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick’s Church at 10:00 A.M.

Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.

Interment St Patrick Cemetery
