Obituary

Laconia-----Edna M. Jacques, 81, of Church Street, died on Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a brief battle with cancer.

Edna was born on February 21, 1936 in Laconia the daughter of Hattie M. (Dockham) Langill. She worked for several manufacturers, her last job being Franklin Brush in Laconia until her retirement in 1998. She enjoyed almost two decades of retirement and often said it was the best job she ever had.

Edna loved shopping, the Boston Red Sox, Elvis Presley and most of all spending time with her family.

“Giving a helping hand today to a woman who has spent a lifetime helping everyone else. She has helped everyone out thru their troubles and sometimes helped when someone has made a bad choice in their life without judgment. I am so glad everyone who loves her just as much as she loved them is stepping in and showing her how much she is loved.
We all love you Mother Jacques.
You rest up and we'll do all the work you've done without complaint........”

Survivors include her children, Cathy Jacques, of Laconia, Marlene Bailey and her husband, David, of Northfield and Jeffrey Jacques and his wife, Annette, of Laconia: six grandchildren, David Jacques, Nicole Thomas and her husband, Mike , Michelle Bailey and her partner, Jodi , Bernie Ouellette, Christopher Malone and Conner Jacques; seven great grandchildren, Darien, Brandon, Tyler, Dougie, Kaleb, Gemma, Judianna; a great-great grandchild, Brayden Lee; sisters-in-law, Claire Morel and Lorraine Gagne; several nephews and nieces and her dear friends Shirley Dockham and Jeff Davis who were like a sister and adopted son to her. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband, Romeo G. Jacques.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00am in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia NH., Rev. Marc Gagne will be officiating the service.
