John M. "Skip" Conley, a 33 year resident of Somerville and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at his home in Somerville. He was 72 years old.
Skip was born in Somerville on December 26, 1944, a son of the late Joseph J. "Horseshoe" Conley and Teresa J. (Daly) Conley. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system. He furthered his education and received his Masters Degree in Education. Skip worked for the Boston Public School system for over 34 years as a Teacher and Administrator and retired as Director of Human Resources. He enjoyed gardening and caring for his dogs and cats.
Skip is the loving partner and spouse of 48 years to Patrick J. Ryan of Somerville. He is the beloved brother of the late Joan T. "Bambi" Conley, Joseph T. "Shoes" Conley, Maureen Gamby and Michael Conley. He is the loving uncle to Nancy "Kelly" Gonsalves and her husband Tom of New Bedford, Joey Conley of Maine, Noel MacDonald of Charlestown and the late Sean Conley.
At Skip's request there are no Funeral Services and he was cremated.
