Ruth E. (Fairbrother) Walton, 91, of Bourne, died Wednesday, October 18th in Bourne Manor. Her husband of 59 years, Roger H. Walton died in 2004. She is survived by two sons, Roger H. Walton, Jr., and his wife, Annmarie of Worcester and Christopher J. Walton and his wife, Catherine of Bourne; two daughters, Susan R. Mahoney and her husband, Thomas of Raymond, NH and Amy M. Pelle and her husband, John of Hicksville, NY; a brother, Arthur Fairbrother of Worcester and a sister, Helen Cardin of Rutland; six grandchildren, Mark, Jennifer, Amanda, Stephen, Katherine and Emily and nine great-grandchildren. A son, Steven C. Walton predeceased her.
She was born in West Upton, the daughter of William and Lydia (LeBritton) Fairbrother. Ruth loved music, sewing, reading and vacationing in Maine with her husband and family. She took great joy in holiday and family celebrations, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Her funeral is Saturday, October 21st from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in North American Martyr's Chuch, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn.
