Della Kay York (Hubert)
Saco—Della York, 57 of Saco, ME died October 11, 2017 at Gosnell Memorial
Hospice in Saco after a brief illness surrounded by loved ones. Della was born
July 15, 1960, daughter of Oscar and Vondella Hubert of Portland.
Della was the anchor for family that was spread throughout New England. Della
was a source of unconditional love to each of her nieces and nephews. Her love
of gardening and hosting special occasion made her home a gathering place of
love, laughter and joy for all who knew her.
Della is survived by her loving husband, Dennis, son Billy, mother Vondella,
brother Dean and wife Carol, sister Donna and husband Chuck, sister-in-law
Wendy and many nieces and nephews. Della was preceded in death by her
father, Oscar Hubert, brother Danny Hubert, father and mother-in-law Gordon &
Corinne York.
The family will hold a private service in celebration of Della’s life and would like
to thank the entire staff on SCU Ward 2 of Maine Medical Center for the care,
support and understanding during a difficult time.
